Hi! I am so excited to be starting my 18th year as an Oakhurst Owl! I am a Georgia native, born and raised in metro Atlanta. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and even did my student teaching at Oakhurst! I spent some time teaching English in the Netherlands in 2009, then returned to Oakhurst to teach kindergarten.  Before teaching second grade, I taught kindergarten for 12 years. I earned my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College. 

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy reading, traveling, exploring hidden dining gems, all things houseplants and spending as much time as possible at the beach.
