Hooty Hoo Oakhurst Owls! I have been a proud educator for over 20 years, beginning my career as a Pre-K teacher in a private school setting. In 2003, I joined the City Schools of Decatur, where I have since taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Early Intervention at College Heights and Oakhurst. As a native 'Georgia Peach,' I earned my undergraduate degree from Clark Atlanta University, followed by a Master’s in Reading and Literacy and an Education Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership. At home, my husband and I are the proud parents of two Decatur High School alumni. Since they graduated from rival colleges, our house is often filled with friendly competition! In my downtime, I enjoy cheering at sporting events, catching up on my reading, and spending quality time with my family. I look forward to all the fun adventures we will have in Kindergarten this year!
